Amaan Khalfan is Goodlife Pharmacy's Chief Executive Officer. Through his extensive executive positions, he has been involved in operational restructuring projects in the areas of private equity, agribusiness, manufacturing and water and sanitation. Prior to joining Goodlife, Amaan served as Chief Operations Officer at Aga Khan University Hospital’s Outreach division, one of the largest network of outpatient medical centers in East Africa. Within this role, he managed over 500 employees and 48 medical centers in the region. His aptitude to implement interventions, mobilize teams and apply sound business principles ensured financial and operational sustainability. Amaan is also a process change expert who used operational restructuring methods to achieve high levels of efficiency and productivity at the various projects he has been involved with.
Justin Melvin is the Chief Retail Officer. He brings over 30 years’ experience to Goodlife, including an extensive background in both the retail and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors, where he held senior executive positions in operations management, strategic planning, business development and partner relations. Prior to Goodlife, Justin served as the General Manager of Kuku Foods Ltd., the East African franchise holder of Kentucky Fried Chicken. Under Justin’s leadership, the company profitably grew its network from 4 to 13 locations countrywide. The company also gained recognition through the 2015 franchise of the year award as the Best Franchise in Africa – a first-time award outside South Africa. Earlier in his career, Justin spent time with global FMCG companies including PepsiCo and The Coca-Cola Company in multiple roles across the globe including, Nigeria, East Africa, Indian Ocean Islands, China, North Africa, Middle East, and Eastern Europe.
Dr. Robert Kimbui is the Chief Pharmacist and Head of Supply Chain for Goodlife Pharmacy Africa. He is a licensed Pharmacist, with over ten years’ experience in health systems strengthening, supply chain management, regulatory affairs, public private partnerships and pharmaceutical distribution. He has worked in the public, private and development sectors of health having worked for the Ministry of Health - Kenya, Laborex Kenya Ltd, Medicins Sans Frontieres (MSF) and Management sciences for Health(MSH). He is a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya and holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy, Msc in Economics, Operations and Supply Chain.
GM For Goodlife Uganda, Veronica George, is a commercially-aware project manager with over 7 years experience managing projects for top tier companies in the UK including The Fossil Group, Volkswagen Racing, and the NHS. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in both Business & Management and Project Management. She specializes in structuring and formulating strategies and optimizing operational efficiency to create and develop sustainable businesses.
CFO Chris Kieu has been previously engaged at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte & Touche, ZK Group (Pty), Diageo and Africa Development Bank spanning over 17 years. He has proven experience and specializes in Strategic Financial Management, Financial Accounting and Audits, Management accounting, General administration management and Project management. He holds a Bsc Finance from United States International University and is a Certified Chartered Accountant and a member of ACCA (UK).
