Description
Hericium contains numerous bioactive constituents including polysaccharides (beta-glucans), terpenoids (hericenones, erinacerines), sterols, glycoproteins, and polyphenols.
Hericium is a mushroom known in Asian countries as Yamabushitake, which literally means ‘mountain priest mushroom’ or ‘Lion’s Mane’, and it’s been used for long in traditional Chinese herbalism due to its properties for mental and stomach well-being and for defences, among others.
